Timeline

29 November 2017

While they were gathered for the handover of MSC Seaside, executives from MSC Cruises and Fincantieri S.p.A. signed the contract for a two enlarged Seaside-class ships.  Later termed the "Seaside EVO" class, they would have an extra 16.00m / 52.49ft section added midships.  As a result, 65% of the public spaces had to be reorganized, so the additional length wouldn't be a hamper on the passenger flow.
