Contract signed between Fincantieri S.p.A. and VC Ship One Ltd., a subsidiary of Virgin Voyages Ltd.


22 March 2017

The first pieces of steel were cut for hull 6287.


31 October 2017

The first block of hull 6287 was lowered into the construction drydock.


8 February 2019

Scarlet Lady was floated out of the building dock and moved to a fitting out berth.


15-18 November 2019

First set of sea trials was conducted for Scarlet Lady.


27-30 November 2019

Second set of sea trials were performed on Scarlet Lady.


13 February 2020

Scarlet Lady was completed by Fincantieri.  She was unique in her lack of a main dining room, rather opting for a cosmopolitan atmosphere where passengers can choose which of the ship's 20 eateries to dine in for each meal.  She also had onboard the first tattoo parlor at sea.


14 February 2020

VC Ship One Ltd. took delivery of Scarlet Lady from Fincantieri S.p.A.  She was valued at €600,000,000 at the time of her completion and handover.


30 July 2021

After extended delays owing to the global COVID-19 pandemic, Scarlet Lady finally set sail on her inaugural cruise.
