Seahawk Two Ltd. and Meyer Werft GmbH signed the contract for the construction of S.708, the last Breakaway-Plus class cruise ship.


31 January 2018

Steel cutting ceremony for S.708.  She was slightly larger than Norwegian Joy and Norwegian Bliss, but with the same basic design.  She more closely resembled Norwegian Bliss, with the larger observation lounge forward.


27 November 2018

The first block of S.708 was laid down in the building dock in Hall 2 at Meyer Werft.


17 August 2019

Norwegian Encore is floated out of Hall 2 at Meyer Werft, stern first.


30 September-1 October 2019

Conveyance of Norwegian Encore down the Ems from Papenburg, Germany, to Eemshaven, The Netherlands.
