Timeline

May 2014

Fincanteri S.p.A. and MSC Cruises signed a contract for the construction of a new ship, based on Fincantieri's "Project Mille" prototype.  Model testing would be done at MARIN, based in the Netherlands, and SVA, who had a testing tank in Vienna, Austria.


November 2016

Hull 6256 is floated out of the construction dock at Fincantieri's Monfalcone yard and moved to the fitting out berth.


late November 2017

MSC Seaside is completed and delivered to MSC Cruises.


23 December 2017

MSC Seaside set sail on her maiden voyage.
